A couple of weeks ago we had a great session with a model who drove down from Tampa to shoot with us.  I had been looking for a certain type for some lighting tests we were undertaking and things just worked out perfectly.  Since she came a long way we wanted to make it a worthwhile endeavor as well, so I spent a lot of time planning several different looks in advance to go for.

Fantastic news was she was super well prepared with different outfits and the necessary skill to not need much direction/posing help so we were able to optimize the short few hours we had into a very productive set of top tier images with different looks.  In addition to standard headshots and full length fashion catalog runway types of work - we got to do some interesting designs and lighting creations as well.  I called them "science experiments" - ha ha - but I really knew what I was doing (while still mixing in some spontaneity).

The resultant bounty of images were varied, many and compelling - I had actually also planned on also doing some location work in the gardens around our campus here in Lakewood Ranch - but unfortunately mother nature had other ideas and it absolutely poured!  

This first image we shot (below) was the centerpiece I had been visualizing for a long time  - It took some extensive work to get it just right on the day of the shoot, so I had prepared the set and lighting in advance of her arrival so we got right into it.  Once we got going after this set, I began to improvise with many different lighting and background combinations as well as on her wardrobe and looks.  It ended up being a super productive day.
