Sony A7RIII Tethering Cable Protector Clamp HackI got tired of messing with the included (A7RIII) cage style cable relief accessory - first it's fiddly to install, and more importantly my TT tethering cable end is too chubby to fit through the hole provided! So I borrowed the idea for the jerk stopper gizmo and used the clamp part of it to secure my tethering cable to a short section of camera strap! If I could find a smaller soft plastic clamp that did the same thing (squeezing the cable and strap together by screw) it would be great. Tempting as is it to cut just that section off the Sony part - I won't do it. It moves slightly with the strap but doesn't bother the connection even when moving around the studio a bit. Maybe not as great as the commercial alternatives but it works, and it's handy, free and really quick to install. If you don't use a camera strap - Any simple loop through connector attached to the camera strap anchor on the camera, will work too!
